Another hearty, veggie filled meal that is simple~
What you will need:
Frozen pie crust (2) or if you made the pie crust for the Shepards pie just get two of them out of your freezer, roll them out, and put them into the dish.
1/2 bag of frozen veggies
Step one: Put your chicken in a pan and boil it until cooked. This will provide you with the broth that you need for this meal.
Step two: While your chicken is cooking get your pie crust ready. Place it in a pie dish and cook the base at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until almost baked.
Step three: In a skillet put your frozen veggies and chicken broth.
Step four: While those are heating up cut up your chicken into small pieces and place them in the skillet.
Step five: Using the chicken broth, a little milk, and some flour make a gravy directly in the skillet with your chicken and veggies.
Step six: Pour the skillet contents into the pie crust.
Step seven: Place the top crust on, press it down around the edges, cut a whole in the middle for steam to escape and bake until nice and brown.
Serve and Enjoy!
TIP: This freezes great! We are traveling this week so I made this meal and froze it. Now, when we come home tired and hungry all I have to do is take dinner out of the freezer and bake it.
ps...I KNOW MY PIE CRUST LOOKS LIKE A TWO YEAR OLD DID IT! NO LAUGHING! :)
